Our Sacred Places.
Lately I've been trying so hard to search for the tender mercies in my life. It's been amazing to see how truly involved Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are in each and everyone of our lives. If He had enough time to prompt me to stop and get a doughnut so I would just miss being involved in a car accident he has enough time to be involved in all the small and simple things in your life. I have come to learn that if something is important to you it is important to Him and He will be with you.
While on my excursion to recognize God's hand in my life I have come to learn that many times we can see His hand and fell so close to Him and Christ in what I like to call "Our Sacred Places." Joseph Smith went to the Sacred Grove, Zechariah went to the temple, Christ went to the Garden of Gethsemane. I realized that I have had my own Sacred Groves, Temples, and Garden of Gethsemane's in my life and I am almost positive you have found them too. Many times they have been in the temple. Other times have been in nature, like at girls camp or hiking with a good friend or family member. And sometimes at historical Church sites, during sacrament meeting, young woman's, relief society, institute and seminary. But these tender moments don't always have to be what at first glance seems like a significant and sacred place. I feel like more often then not I am so blessed to feel of my Fathers and Christ's love for me as I'm sincerely studying scriptures in my bedroom or as I'm praying in my car or on walk, talking about the gospel with a good friend.
I think what I'm trying to get at with this painting and the rambling on of a blog post is...
The simple message that I know YOU (whoever you are that is reading this) have a Heavenly Father that loves you and is very much aware of you. It doesn't matter where you are, but if you are seeking Him and asking Him to show his love for you with a sincere heart He will show you His unconditional love. He will let you know Him and His Son. You can receive a greater understanding about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the scriptures, the Fall of Adam, the First vision, His divine plan for you. You can ask Him anything and with that you will feel His great great love! Anywhere can be a Sacred Place because God is always there just waiting for us to ask to know Him.
